5. Without a doubt. 4 might have more cars, but you have to know that the game has been out for like 3 years and the content will be added in the form of updates in the future.
Forza Horizon 4 was my first game in the series, and I played quite a bit of it. 5 has tons of the same things: a handful of race types scattered across the map, speed/drift/big air zones, houses you can buy, lots of car tuning/customization, wheel spins, etc.
Forza Horizon 4 is most notable for its introduction of the season system to the open-world franchise. Every week, the look and feel of its English countryside would change from winter to spring

Forza is a series I have mixed feelings about. On the one hand, the Horizon games are simply outstanding, with me having reviewed Forza Horizon 3, Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Horizon 5 for the site

The biggest difference in quality for me was the "Environment texture quality" option, so I've kept everything on the Ultra preset but bumped this one to Extreme.
Another difference is the seasons. 4 has clear distinct seasons, including snow. 5 has wet season, somewhat less wet season, dry season, etc. Some people didn't like the snow in 4. Personally I did but I like rally racing, dirt racing, etc., so I had a lot of cars tuned for that. Gran Turismo 7 offers more cars than Forza Horizon 5 as well as having a ton more tracks to race on. This gives Gran Turismo 7 a better chance of keeping players engaged for a long time. Of course, this also comes with the drawback that Gran Turismo 7 is more detailed than Forza Horizon 5. This sounds like a good thing, but it also means that Fh5 has better landmarks with the pyramids and colorful Guanajuato, but those also make for massive sections of the map that are huge eliminator obstacles. Fh4's comparable obstacles are much closer to the edge of the map and out of the way. Fh5 has a better highway by far. Fh4 has better / bigger roundabouts for drifting.
With Forza Horizon 5, the globetrotting Horizon festival is heading back to North America for the first time in almost a decade. This time, however, it’s staying south of the border. β€œIn any
Taken in isolation, a career race in Forza Motorsport is a perfectly shaped 20 minutes of gaming. But β€” aside from the Rivals time-trial mode β€” this loop is about the only thing the game
FH4 feels way too grippy but also is inconsistent in grip, whereas Forza Horizon 5 feels more slippy and smooth. I think that in general, Forza Horizon 4 is better, I just think that how the cars feel in particular is better in Horizon 5. Anybody got any ideas as to why? Or maybe how to make FH4 feel better?
Car Culture 5 Reasons Why Gearheads Still Love Forza Horizon 4 (5 Why Horizon 5 Is Way Better) By Samarveer Singh Published Mar 18, 2023 Gamers and gearheads have plenty of reasons to prefer the older Forza Horizon 4 over Forza Horizon 5, but the newer game certainly holds its own, too. via Playground Games As a fellow redditor said, get a game pass subscription and try them both, you will have unlimited access to Horizon 5 and 10-hour access to NFS Unbound. If you like both, either buy the full version of NFS or upgrade your EA subscription to pro :D. TLDR; Get gamepass, try both. Either way win-win. true. Looking to throw some coin at Forza Horizon 4 or 5, but want to know which one players enjoy better. I've read many reviews that claim 5 "runs away with the lead," but I have seen many steam user comments saying 4 is a better overall game. If you have played both games, please comment your thoughts/insights. Edit: Will be playing on Steam not Xbox UDTd.
